Polk Signa S2 Remote Problem

Ever since I have had this sound bar the remote fore it is weak. I am 5' at most from the sound bar and I have to push the on button on a drive of 10 times and waving it around to get it to turn on. No there is no obstruction between me and the sound bar. The batteries are new and have tried many known good ones. Is this common? Can you send me another one?
