Anybody remember who the "PG&E" band is on the Fillmore marquee? Try to resist Google, if possible.

Mike PInera of Iron Butterfly fame was the lead guitarist of Cactus.

There were some bands named after companies or pseudo companies, "Chicago Transit Authority" and "The 1910 Fruitgum Company" come to mind. I'm sure there were others.

I only know Pacific Gas & Electric for their hit "Are You Ready?" from a Rhino Records 70s compilation CD.
Cactus was what Vanilla Fudge members Carmine Appice and Tim Bogert did between Vanilla Fudge and Beck, Bogert, & Appice. A friend lent me one of their albums in the mid-80s, along with Dust and Bang, but it has been so long, I don't recall what they sounded like.

The actual Chicago Transit Authority, I remember reading at some point (long ago), made 'em change their name... which they did.
