Have a pair of Monitor 5s one of which is missing the red binding post nut. Anybody have one laying around I could buy?

I might have one. I'll go check in a minute.
Nope....sorry.Post edited by Tony M onMost people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
They're a funny size (thread pitch) -- I haven't succeeded in finding a matching plastic nut that fit (I have a "Monitor 5 Series 2" -- or something like that -- in the same boat, as it happens). I ultimately MacGyvered a nylon nut of the right OD to fit... sort of... cutting new threads in the process When I use the loudspeakers, I just plug in banana plugs.

Yeah, I'm using banana plugs too. It just bugs me that it's missing. I figured with all the upgrading being done, somebody would have a stash of them laying around.

I just happen to have some red and black binding posts with the nuts. PM me with your address and I will drop whatever you need in the mail.

Thanks, much appreciated!

Shipped yesterday. Hopefully it won't get damaged by the usps.

I love it when a plan comes together.
Does any of youse guyses happen to know the diameter & thread pitch of those nuts (or, I suppose, more accurately, of the "binding posts" to which they affix)?

I do not. -
OK, thanks for the reply.
FWIW, I have not been able to figure it out empirically (and I did invest some effort into tryin' random nuts on one, at one point.
That said, they must be of some sort of standard (one would think).
Sorry for the digression!
