Cambridge Azur 740A Integrated

I'm dismantling my living room system because it's a decent little budget system that just isn't allowed to shine in my room. Everything is in a built in cabinet with the speakers at a little over 6' high. I've decided to use a wireless bluetooth speaker for background music, so I'm letting go of this integrated, some Pioneer speakers, and a Sony SACD player that I really like (as well as some Polk Atriums, a Panasonic Blu-ray player, and possibly a FireTV and Monster PowerCenter). I'll probably be letting go of a few sets of IC's as well, so stay tuned if you might be interested.
I bought this from Paul here: https://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/190328/cambridge-azur-740a-integrated-amp This was my first experience with Cambridge gear and I can say that this is a well built, great sounding unit.
It's not in perfect shape. There are a couple of small nicks/scratches on the faceplate, but as you see in the pictures (especially the pictures in the original ad I linked), these are not too bad. There are some spots on top that appear to be scratches that someone tried to paint with results you might expect if I had done it. Blemishes on top never bothered me because my gear is usually not where the top can be seen. Finally, the volume knob is a little wacky when adjusting the volume manually. You have to really turn the volume knob to adjust the volume and sometimes if you try to increase the volume it will decrease and visa versa. It works fine when controlled with the remote.
I'd like to get what I paid which I feel is a bargain.
$250 + shipping CONUS.
I can throw in a Pangea AC-14 for $20, otherwise it will ship without a power cord. https://www.amazon.com/Pangea-Audio-AC-14-Powercord-Meter/dp/B0030ERI1W

Just to give an idea of how good a deal this is, this is a common price on eBay for a lesser model:

$250 for this plus $300 for my Elac DBR62s and for $550 you got yourself a banging second system or garage system. This should be a no brainer.

Bump. I can take this to Skip’s on the 16th if anyone is interested. Also have the Sony SACD, Panasonic BluRay, FireTV, and Monster Powercenter that I never got around to putting up for sale, mainly because shipping costs make them all too expensive except the FireTV.
I’m thinking $50 for the SACD, $25 for the BluRay, $75 for the Monster, and $50 for the Fire TV.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -

1st and 3rd pics are the Panay. 2nd pic is the Sony.

got the 740a. For anyone who doesn't know, it was shipped fast and packed extremely well. If Paul had just stuck a throw pillow in the box, it would've been PERFECT.
Now buy the man's other gear people!Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

What do you mean "if" I'd have stuck a throw pillow in the box??? You mean FedEx was somehow able to lose a throw pillow? I thought things like that only happened to PFB
I'll be in the McKinney area on Thursday, though on a tight schedule. I may also be in the area next Thursday and Friday (Arlington). Definitely in the area on Dec. 23 (Frisco). So, if you'd like to meet north of Dallas in the next few weeks to get some inexpensive gear that is well worth the asking price, let me know. As I mentioned before, shipping isn't an option on these items due to cost.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
Did the SACD player sell?
