Hi all Does ant one know if the pre outs on a denon 5800 receiver are filtered or do they pass the whole signal.reason i ask is i am trying to figure out the best way to hook up my rt3000ps and cs1000p.by just using the speaker imputs and setting them to large it sounds a little chesty for lack of a better term.i was wondering if i should use the lfe imputs and set them to small and the sub to thx mode. i have two choices for my sub output .thx and lfe plus main.removing the bars on the cs1000. the highs sound better on small but the mid range is overwelming.i haved balanced the system with a sound meter. any imput would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand your question but, the speaker pre/outputs should put out 80hz and above. The subwoofer pre/out should put out 80hz and below, unless you adjust the subwoofer crossover setting on your reciever. If you have selected "no" for subwoofer then you are getting the full signal to your mains. I hope this helps.

Leave the jumpers in place and operate them as you would any speaker. Adjust the level of the powered woofer to blend well with the rest of the spectrum.
Run them on small with an 80 Hz xo if you don't want them handling a full range signal.
If you set them to small, the pre-outs will also be filtered.
Send the subwoofer the LFE channel and all redirected bass from any speaker set to small."What we do in life echoes in eternity"
