Funny, I never knew the C19 actually had tubes. I'm sure if there was a worthy mod and you could afford it, Rolland would would be the man. He's modded 4 or 5 of my components
    Gustard X26 Pro DAC
Belles 21A Pre modded with Mundorf Supreme caps
B&K M200 Sonata monoblocks refreshed and upgraded
    Polk SDA 1C's modded / 1000Va Dreadnaught
Wireworld Silver Eclipse IC's and speaker cables
Harman Kardon T65C w/Grado Gold. (Don't laugh. It sounds great!)

Yep it has tubes, I wanted one badly but all I could afford was the little brother C16. The C16 had the Sonic holography which the C19 I do not believe does. I never found the SH intriguing enough to use, honestly I never liked it. The downside to my C16 is the volume pot is terrible, every 7-10 yrs it needs replaced as it fails. I asked Roland if there's a better pot to use and last I talked to him there still was not. My C16 has been boxed up for several years because of the pot. It's a $300 fix each time.

I wonder if they both use the same volume pot?

A friend of mine has a sonic holography generator, it seems to work better with the speakers right next to each other for some reason.

The C-19 is a helluva preamp.....I wish I never sold mine. I'm pretty sure it does have SH though.....
