Musical Fidelity M5si Integrated Amplifier or DAC3?

If so which one would be the best upgrade?

May upgrade now or wait till Christmas.

    Is HiFi Heaven a good place to do business with as they offered a good trade-in on my Music Hall on a new one?

    I have used HIFI Heavens trade in program a couple times now. Once to move up the lineup on a Rega turntable and again to upgrade my Rega MC cartridge. Both times my experience went very smoothly and they offered a much better trade in price than other dealers I checked with. I was impressed enough to recommended them to my Dad who also traded in some items with no issues.

    I'm not sure I've heard that combination, but I can't imagine it not being good.

    OK, one other question, I've heard that they run hot. Is that true and would I have a problem with my entertainment center as far as air flow. It's open in the front and back in the center section. It would go on the top center shelf.

    It has 4" clearance on the top and 3 1/2" + on the side. It's not as close as it seems in the picture. It's also completely open in the back. So that's not enough? My Music Hall doesn't run hot at all. Not saying you're wrong it's just that the picture is a little misleading.

    Is it true MF amps run hot?

    If that's not enough clearance then I guess I'm out on the M5si or M6si as my wife won't allow a rack in there.
