KitchenAid Appliances...

We are just about done with our kitchen remodel, we purchased a full set of matching KitchenAid appliances, have them installed except the dishwasher, will be here on Tuesday, Anyone else own any KA? Pros-Cons?? Not that it matters much since we already have them, just curious on thoughts about them..

It's been a long three months without a kitchen, at least we can function in there while I finish up small ends...

We hope to find out soon how KA appliances are, we purchased the above dishwasher got $300 off the price unfortunately paid for it in December and have yet to get it, apparently they quit producing the 3 top of the line dishwashers KA offers during the pandemic and the backlog is finally being filled hope to have it soon. I have heard nothing but good things about Kitchenaid. The wife chose it over a Bosch and dont mind waiting. Plan on getting a new KA fridge and range also. I'm pretty sure you will be happy.

We have the 604 coming, I think the only difference is the LED lighting, I would have purchased that as well but not available and not in Black Stainless, wife had to have the black stainless.. We feel we won the lottery by buying when we did, finding anything KA in black stainless is not happening. well the models we wanted anyway..

They offered us the 604 a month ago but at the price we got the 704 on sale I would of settled for the 604 the wife figured we have waited this long will wait it out, it's crazy how some major appliances are so hard to get. I feel the Waits worth it everyone we know that have their appliances are happy with them.

My wife's grandmother got all new Kitchenaide appliances a few years ago. We have cooked several family meals there so we're fairly familiar with them. Everything is holding up great after a few years. I'm quite jealous of them.

We considered/preferred KA appliances when we got all new ones in our house last year, but we didn't want to stretch on the pricing vs midrange Fridgeaire stuff, and since we'd had good luck with Fridgedaire in the past, we went with those, but if we had the cash we absolutely would have gone for the KA stuff.

I’m still and always will be the dishwasher in our home! Just something about dishwashers has always erked me but hats off on the the Kitchen Aide name for sure ! Congratulations, and yes even high end quality large capacity washers with matching gas dryers were a task to secure! Went with Samsung black stainless ! I know Samsung right??? Fingers crossed !!

It's just a brand name now. Our KitchenAid branded 'fridge is (was) sold under many other names, including Kenmore.

I hate it, FWIW. I could explain why, but I don't feel like typing that much at the moment.
I hope the OP makes out better! :)

We had an older ( 8-10 years old) Kitchen Aid dishwasher in our other house and would not buy another. We had to reset it too many times. Numerous times it wouldn't complete it's washing cycle.

Hope you don't have any issues with yours.

Love mine, most trouble free appliances I have ever owned. I think we've talked about this in other threads. Appliances today, regardless of brand, are not built to last as long as previous versions from years ago. Call it built in obsolesce, or whatever. You get 6-8 years today, your doing good.

Frig is from 2004 and the only thing that went on it was the auger for the Ice around 2014 but, I had that fixed and all is good. Does yours have the Pur water filter on it? If so, check out Clatterans for replacements.

Cool, you got your coins worth from that bad boy. Asking a Samsung or LG to last half that long is asking for miracles.

We have their top dishwasher, the one with an absurd amount of water jets. It is very quiet and clean very well. I would get another ka.

We've had Kitchenaid appliances in two houses with no real complaints. Good idea to run a dishwasher normal cycle and put a bowl of white vinegar in the top rack once a month or so. DW should be empty.
