Sl-1000 Monitor 7s

These seem to be the black sheep of the 7s. IIRC, the tweeter is not easily upgraded without some cabinet and cover mods. True? A pair is available locally but I'm hesitant to sink a bunch of money into them. Opinions?

There was a new forum member who has a pair who started a thread but hasn't been around in over a month. I established via PM with him that his 7B's with the SL1000's had the exact same crossovers as my earlier 7B's with the Peerless. I kept asking him what model # of MW they had but never got an answer unfortunately. If Polk went with the same crossover and same MW in the swap from Peerless to SL1000 my reasoning would've been that going back to the Peerless should be the best option. He bought a pair and said he wasn't thrilled with how they sounded. Last I heard from him.
