Polkaudio RTA 8T

Hi, I'm new to this group but I have a pair of RTA 8T's that I purchased in the very early 90's, I just picked up a Scott 299C amp to use with my RTA 8T's and noticed the SL 2500 tweeter wasn't working on one of the speakers. I took it out and hooked up another tweeter just to test that it was the tweeter and it works fine. Where is the best place to purchase a replacement tweeter? And should I upgrade the tweeter to the SL 3000 or use another SL 2500?
Thank you
Dom

Hi Dom,
Welcome to Polk's forum. Polk made a replacement for the SL2500 called the RD0198-1 and it was very well received. I may be wrong but I don't believe Polk has any of them remaining, but you can check with them at 1-800-377-7655 and follow prompts for parts. If they don't, I see there are some for sale on eBay that seem reasonably priced. If it were me I would replace both of the tweeters it would clearly be audible over the originals.
Cheers! -
Midwest speaker had them.

Do you have 8T or 8TL? 8T's had the SL2000 tweeters. The correct replacement for those are the RD0194
