Polk MagniFi Max SR crackling sound.
Last year I have purchased sound bar system Polk MagniFi Max SR.
From the beginning, I had crackling sound sounds which came frequently. I have asked for support from "Polk Audio" and they told me that there is an update I should do, I had simply done that and told them that it wasn't the problem and I sent proof. From that time until I was told to send it over, it has taken them half a year and during that time there was a discussion between me and them "Polk Audio Support" and "PowerBuy"- which is authorized dealer in Thailand for Polk Audio products.
I send amore emails and at one point I got an email from "PowerBuy" with one of the following text.
"However we need your help to follow up for this problem because now we have almost 100 units damage from this problem".
Then was told to send it to Bangkok to be repaired, just the delivery cost me $60 since I live in Laos. It has taken 40 days since it was delivered and went back to me. And once again nothing has changed, I spoke with them again and, and they responded that they have updated it,
but in fact, it was the same version since I delivered it which means they didn't do anything therefore they lied.
I spoke with them once again and then I got a reply, to sent it back to the same spot but this time to send just the surround speakers which I did.
Another 40 days have passed which is another $60 for delivery and I get my speakers back. Not much changed at all, the noise can occur twice up to ten times in an hour from different speakers.
In conclusion, I would not recommend "Polk audio" products, not just the product is not functioning properly as a well, also the service is atrocious.
A big branded company whose service isn't connected with their customer and overall it is just a waste of money and time.
