Are Vincent intergrated tube amplifiers a step up from a Yahama 3010 AVR?

Love my Vincent. I can’t imagine any AVR coming close it. I have an older H/K 7400 which was a TOTL model and a beast of an AVR, but I guarantee there is no comparing it to my Vincent.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden

I have a lot fun listening to @voltz 's (my brother Darrell) Vincent integrated at LSAF2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures
Desktop rig: LSi7, Polk 110sub, Dayens Ampino amp, W4S DAC/pre, Sonos, JRiver
Gear on standby: Melody 101 tube pre, Unison Research Simply Italy Integrated
Gone to new homes: (Matt Polk's)Threshold Stasis SA12e monoblocks, Pass XA30.5 amp, Usher MD2 speakers, Dynaudio C4 platinum speakers, Modwright LS100 (voltz), Simaudio 780D DAC

You also listened to mine a bunch too at LSAF, Ron. SV236 with the Usher V-601s."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

Do the newer model Vincent integrated amps have tube sockets, or are the tubes soldered?

Ryan sold this integrated to me a few years back. I have since replaced it, but loved the time I spent with it. I can't imagine any AVR coming close to that Vincent. -
And you passed it on to me. I didn’t realize it had been in the “family” for so long. I’m still enjoying it and have no plans to move it to another Polkie.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
Paul, glad you're still enjoying it. I honestly had no plans to part with it, but I'm a sucker for a good looking tube rig. when Skip offered the Triode I ended up with, I was back and forth for weeks. I don't regret the move, but there are things I do miss about that Vincent! I believe it had one or two other polkie owners before Ryan as well. That's the great thing about this forum - gear moves not because it's not awesome, but because some just get upgrade/change fever. A lot of killer equipment has made it's way around to many folks on this forum. I'm glad to be a part of this as it's allowed me to try things I otherwise would not be able to.

I almost pulled the trigger on that Triode. Great sounding and great looking unit. Agree with you about the greatness of buying gear here at CP. I wouldn’t have anywhere near the system I have today if it weren’t for this place. That’s part of the reason I hate seeing the forum as a shell of its former self.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden
