Anyone have experience with this USB cable or others that split the data and power into separate physical cables like this?

Looks like iFi Audio also makes one:

Those look great brother’ I went with Wireworld for all internet connections like that and they seem to work great but cost a lot more ! Probably all work the same ! Did I just say that 😂

I haven't tried the ones with the separate power and data runs, however I tried a standard Pangea Premier USB cable and was disappointed. My iFi Mercury USB blew it away. Returned the Pangea. I used both of them with the iDefender and iPower low noise power supply. I'd like to try the ones with the separate legs for power and data.

Ended up picking up one that has separate power and data runs but only one set of connectors. Audience AU24 SE+. (Not my photos, just wanted to illustrate how the connectors/separate cables look)

Drew, I'd be interested to know if you sense any differences between the split cable and a unified one of the same conductive material. Thanks!

How could I do that comparison?

If you have a split leg USB that is, say 5% silver plate over OCC copper, and a unified one (like the ChiFi one you posted recently, IIRC), swap them out. I assume you're using the cable between a stream and external DAC? I have a split leg ChiFi like yours and would be glad to send it to you for this. I guess I'm interested to know whether eliminating the power leg seems to reduce noise at all.

Oh I see what you mean. I guess I was thinking it would be difficult to find an equal comparison in terms of exactly the same metallurgy and dielectric/insulation material.

No doubt. Cross-brand comparison would be nearly useless. But, for a basic listen to split leg v unified, this might be interesting. LMK

Drew, have you tried NLFX Platinum? She has a good video on the construction.
