Can I listen to my CD player through my Signa S2 (tv sound bar) by connecting them with an optical cable? Are there any set-up requirements to do this?

You would need to use the analogue input rather than a digital, the connecting cable would have a 3.5mm plug on one end and RCA type on the other. Then using the remote switch inputs to hear your CD player.

Oh right, I get it now. The S2 has the "AUX" indication close to the optical jack and the 3.5mm jack - I assumed it meant they both could serve as "aux" inputs. I just went and looked at it again, and it's pretty clear that the "AUX" means just the 3.5mm jack. Your answer makes complete sense. Thanks so much for the research & answer. Best regards, Les.
