Hello, I am looking to upgrade my S15s & S35 to the R200s and R350. I have a Yamaha 1070 and I believe I will need an amplifier to push the Reserve speakers. I am not sure which amplifier to purchase. I am looking at the models below. I don't want to damage the speakers with too much power but I don't want them underpowered either. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

- Rotel RMB-1504
- Rotel RMB-1555
- Monolith by Monoprice 3x200 Watts Per Channel

That's a nice speaker upgrade you're making there. Should be a significant bump in performance. Presuming you use a sub as well?
Curious as to the intended use - solely HT, or combo use for music, too?
Have you checked out the Outlaw stuff, too? Just something else to consider. A couple of people seem pleased with Outlaw in relatively recent additions.I disabled signatures. -

You are more likely to damage them by underpowering them than overpowering themGustard X26 Pro DAC

I recommend if getting a separate amp to get one that's a big step up from the power that's already available in the receiver. In this case the Emotiva XPA-3 or Monolith 3X would be my choice. For Rotel, I'd want to step up to the RMB-1585 but the RMB-1555 is also a good choice. I'd respect myself more for buying Rotel than the other brands, but when money is a concern in the short term Emotiva and Monoprice make decent product for the money.

Did you ever pull the trigger on anything?
I upgraded from the same front set up (S15/S35) but went with the smaller mains (R100/R350). I am running mine off a Denon AVRX-4500. I think your Yamaha 1070 would be fine for these speakers. As many have already mentioned on this forum, as well as other audio forums, while these are nominally 4 ohm speakers, they will run fine off most high current receivers. Listen to Scott Orth (Polk Engineer) on several podcasts and Q&A sessions on power requirements for this line. Sure they will run better off separates, but they will also do just fine off a receiver. Your receiver will probably run hotter pushing the addition current, so I did add an AC infinity fan to my set up just to help my receiver live a longer life. Not saying I would run a set of R700 towers without a sub off a receiver, but for small components like the R100/200/350 with subs handling the low range, they are working just fine.
Overall, I am very happy with my set up. I am still running some signature series components (S10 surround and dual HTS-10 Subs) and my Atmos height speakers (4) are Polk as well (Rci series). There was a noticeable difference going from Signature to Reserve on the front 3 components, especially with the center. Running X-over at 80hz for the R100 and 90hz for the R350. If you have any questions on these, since there still aren't many reviews let me know if you haven't pulled the trigger yet, if you have let me know what you think.
