Ok so my Parasound HCA-800II has an issue. The power button is not fully engaging. It is powering my Monitor 10's in my Basement office. Have a Onkyo P-301(pre) with a Onkyo T-4010 (Tuner) and a Technics SL-1400 TT and a Sony TC-WE475 (Tape deck) for listening. I've bene looking at flebay and cl for amps but am not sure what I want. I know I don't want to spend more than a couple hundred. I mainly listen to radio and records. Any suggestions on what to look at? I really mis the days of the vu meters and the led level meters. Yea I'm stuck in the 80's....

Can't be hard to install a new switch. Call PS ask if they are available.

I'll do that but from what I saw it was soldered in. I don't have any experience with that kind of repair.

Switch is available and $15. Will try to repair it my self. I still love the old amps with the big meters and level lights...

Maybe you can crimp on a quick connect to go on the switch tabs.
Heck ask them how much to ship it in and bring back up to snuff and replace the switch at the same time.

I have an HCA-800ii that I refurbished with better quality caps. It is a nice little amp. Maybe there is someone close by that can help you repair. Where abouts are you located?
