What do you drink with a movie?

After my introduction to HT and all the upgrades that I've (and others here I'm sure) have done I now sit down to a good movie that looks and sounds increadble. There is one thing that is not written in any manual (mabey it's only me) but as a result I find myself enjoying a mixed drink  and I rarely drink and surely before the HT wouldn't have seen me in a State store. Lately I have been going to the State store and getting Absolute/ cranberry, Segrams/ 7 and Baileys, Kahlua, Absolute/ milk. What other mixes or straight do you drink?

I do vanilla coke but then I am older than MX. Actually I've found that I like to enjoy a Sam Adams Creme Stout in a good beer glass unless it is a mexican movie, in which case I like Corona with a big slice of lime in it. Can't help you with the hard stuff. I guess the one I really like is a good strong Long Island ice tea but I have no clue how you make those.

I'm partial to either a Blvd. Wheat beer, or a Crown and Coke.
Usually not more than one or two though. I really like to be aware when I watch a movie. PLus, there are fewer bathroom breaks!

Well thats easy enough, keep watching and watching until you can no longer get up to change the movie. Of course then you will need a multi disc player... :)

If I'm at the theater I get a frozen coke and cherry mix. If I'm home alone I just put a 12 pack next to my recliner and see which one finishes first.

Hmm, I'm sure our resident expert Hbomb will chime in with some good ones on this one;)

For me, a good cold Coor's light will do. If I'm splurging a bit, St. Pauli's Girl or Sam Adams Light will be had. If I really want to unwind a bit, Vodka martini dirty up... chilled and strained over ice. Belvedere or Chopin vodka with a spritz of vermouth. Chase this down with a couple of ice cold St. Pauli's Girl.

Red Snapper is a popular shot down here. It's one third Crown Royal, one third amaretto, and one third cranberry juice shaken with ice and strained into a shot. Tastes pretty good before the movie and the beers.

Of course there's alway Daquiri's. Do you guys have daquiri's up north? Like semifrozen alcoholic drinks (like a smoothie in a way). We have drive through Daquiri Shops down here in New Orleans. If you don't put the straw in the cup its not considered an open container.

Sticking with the coke and a movie theme. Vanilla Stoli and coke is pretty good. I find I like different drinks for different movies. But for some reason I usually like something sweeter with a movie, than out at the bars, or drinking socially. Go figure, alcohol as a substitute for raisinettes.

Sometimes beer but if I drink alcohol it would be scotch or cognac. Favourites here in the US; Sapporo, Lagavulin, Renault VSOP. Only one or two, if I start to drink I'm better off by just turning the movie off and putting on some music.

Gosling's Black Seal Rum + ice. Go near it with Coke or Pepsi and I'll stab you.

Sometimes, if it's going to be a movie in color, I'll wash down a hit of acid with the rum. But never for black & whites.

Beer, Beer, Beer, Beer!!!! Preferably a Molson Golden, but almost anything as long as it's cold. (I also enjoy a cold beer while mowing the lawing, vacuming the house, cleaning the windows, painting the bedroom, walking the dog, doing some yard work, ...........).

But I will enjoy a nice rum and coke during a good movie if I am kind of tired (need the caffeine).

Coors light is also my beer of habit but when I don't plan and exaust my supply I drink whats left in the house. A few weeks back I found some lime coke in the beer fridge and my EVIL little head made the connection with the spiced rum in the freezer. Damn that was good, refreshing and EFFECTIVE!

Wine is good too as lonk as is dry and red(No Foo Foo Crap!)

Right now my beer of choice for movies (or music, or eating, or golf, or yard work...whatever) is Blue Star wheat beer. Nice and summery; refreshing.

If I want to feel nostalgic I can always drink room temperature Schlitz like we used to sneak into the theater in high school.

They still MAKE that stuff?? Man, I haven't had a 'Green Death' in YEARS. Do they still have the little puzzle things in the caps?

Me? I rarely drink alcohol while watching a movie. I RARELY watch plain TV. If I drink anything, good ol' H2O for me.
