LSiC -- placement questions

So I have an LSiC and I want to know what placement is likely to sound best:

1) on top of TV "upright" so the tweeter is higher than the middle of the woofers.

2) top of the TV upside down, making the tweeter closer to ear level (though still much higher than the level on the LSi15s).

3) underneath the TV upright. There would be a bar covering the middle of the speaker (i.e. right in front of the tweeter).

I would like to have it on top of the TV, angled down but that's not trivial to do and I'm afraid that I'd worry about it slipping from whatever I had rigged up and destroying itself.

Option #1 is what most of us like to do. Did you check out the system showcases to get some ideas? What kind of tv do you have? If you have a smaller tv there are some platforms that you can buy to support the center. If your tv is large enough to hold the center then do what a member here recommended on another thread and get some of those rubber doorstops from Home Depot to angle your center down to your listening position. The rubber should act as a good frictional resistance to slipping.

A pic would help us out a lot if you could post one.

I didn't have to angle mine a huge amount or anything, but I just used the rubber feet that came on the carpet spikes of the LSi15's. Maybe it's not ideal, but it worked okay for me.

Good one there Doc. I didn't realize that the top of the RPTV could even sag. I'll have to check into that myself!

I go for Option #3. I had my center channel on top of the TV and didn't like it because it sounded like it was on top of the TV. When I put it back underneath the TV, it sounded like it should.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I have mine set on top of the RPTV. What Doc experienced is most probable due to weight of the C. My RPTV case is made of MDF and it has not exhibit this problem. I found mine to sound the best sitting on top of RPTV, ymmv....
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
