PSW10 grill replacement
Hi everyone, new to the forum.
I have a PSW10 subwoofer and I love it. Unfortunately my dog ate the grill
Is it possible to replace just the front grill? I've considered laser cutting something and wrapping it with black fabric, but it would be much easier to buy one.
Thanks

You'll have to call Polk about that.Political Correctness'.........defined

You could make a wood frame and cover it with speaker grill fabric or get a car sub-woofer grill and cover it with fabric.Stan

That's exactly what my plan was. Laser-cut a pattern I designed out of 1/4" MDF then wrapped it with black fabric from the crafts store. Probably not legit "speaker grill fabric" but it was the closest they had. Also 3D printed and attached some inserts to clip into the holes on the unit.
Images attached. First draft, slightly too large, making another one tomorrow.
Also attached is a photo of the one my dog destroyed.
Still I'm curious about the official one and whether it would be better and/or cheaper, considering all the materials I've purchased so far.
Also, is the small gap between the front of the speaker and the grill necessary for any reason?Post edited by dryphi on
