Musical Fidelity m6s DAC - like new in box

$750 plus actual shipping.

Excellent DAC with numerous inputs, balanced and RCA outputs and excellent reviews! Classic MF sound signature, with very strong and textured bass and a meaty midrange. Really fun to listen to!

Basically like-new condition with original box, manual, remote, white gloves, velvet bag, everything.

I put this head to head with my Marantz SA-14S1 and NAD M51, and they were all very close (I was using my Sony UBP-x1000es to play CDs and SACDs through the MF and the NAD*). I actually had a slight preference for the MF with CDs, but the NAD has hdmi inputs and thus can handle full rez SACDs. Also, the MFs optical input wouldn't work properly with my TV, but it worked with all other devices I tried. When I went back and forth between the NAD and MF, the MF was slightly meatier (for lack of a better word), and the NAD was slightly more detailed. But it was so close, the other factors one out for me.

I will ship via FedEx ground at the buyer's expense. Please cover applicable paypal fees at my asking price. This is also on the gon, but this price is cheaper and is only for active polkies with at least 6 months membership and 100 posts.

*when I played cds from the sony using the Marantz's DAC, I couldn't tell the difference between cds played through the marantz and through the sony. So, as a pure transport they sounded the same to my ears...

Aw man, why'd they have to use a micro connector? Well I was interested lol..

So I either gotta buy a new USB cable, or use an adapter that changes the sound of my other cable. That sucks.

Got a photo of the adapter?

For anyone else on the fence due to the micro-USB connection, Audioquest does make an AQ branded B-to-micro converter: https://www.amazon.com/Audioquest-USB-B-Micro-Adaptor/dp/B00M0H4J6C/

It might be the exact same adapter as the one that's included, but the fact that it's from Audioquest should ease that ever-present audiophile nervosa and allow you to sleep at night.
