im putting in a new sys for afriend of mine ,I just orderd a pair of mmc650s and an kicker kx800.4 amp the question is will this amp be to much ,will i have to lower the gain on those channels to keep from blowing the drivers on the polks when this kid wants to drive his 2 12"s hard the amp is 100 watts rms a chan in 4ohms and 400 watts rms bridged (for the subs) thanks

    Nice amp, you mustve got a good deal on it since they dont make em anymore. I like the new KX amps a lot. Theyve been overhauled from the ground up for less heat and lower distortion.

    100 rms to the Polks will be just fine. It is about the limit I would use on these tho, but as long as he doesnt listen to it at max for hours on end it will be alright.
