Anyone compare directly Infinity Primus or Entra speakers against Polk TSI or Monitor speakers??
While I really don't want to pull every one of my speakers off the wall and do a comparison as it's hard to do with an active family, I had some time and found that my Infinity surround speakers which are Primus P143 and Entra .5 sound very similar, not identical but very similar.
Like wise going back and forth from my living room system to my media room system, found that those Infinity Primus and Entra share a similar voicing to my Polk Blackstone TL1 speakers which shares similar voicing with TSI speakers.
So I'm not wanting to rid myself of the Infinity Primus or Entra speakers as they sound great, I'm thinking of leaving them as my Surround and rear surround speakers and getting TSI speakers up front OR using the Primus P143 as main speakers with a Polk TSI CS10 center channel, and using a couple of blackstone TL1 speakers as replacements for Infinity Primus. They honestly sound like they all have similar voices and could be mixed and matched.
On that note, I've read that the Monitor series is not exactly like the TSI speakers. Crossover are different as well as others saying the monitors are brighter.
What's everyone's experiences who have been able to do A/B comparisons with the Infinity speakers against the Polks and with the Polk TSi against the Monitors.
Hard to do ab comparisons as Infinity and monitor speakers are old discontinued models.
Forgot to mention, the reason I'm asking is so I can replace my 23 year old Infinity Reference series RS1 (2000.1s) and CC-2 center channel speakers. They sound significantly less natural and real in the voices than any of the other Infinity and Polk speakers I have.
Thought about replacing the Infinity Reference speakers with some Boston Acoustics CMS 95s I was given but those speakers sound terrible (at least IMO).
Thanks!!

Surprisingly, I found that crutchfields app has the Primus against the TSI!! Then I can pull up another page with the TSI against the Signature.
I compared Polk TSI CS10, TSI100, Signature S30, Signature S15 and the Infinity Primus P153 and Primus PC251.
Going from the crutchfield app, the Infinity Primus P153 sounds like the Polk TSI 100 with a bit more chestiness. The Infinity PC251 sounds almost like a clone of the Polk TSI CS10. The Polk SIgnature S15 sounds has a more significant difference with more chestiness than either the TSI100 or Primus P153 with a slightly more energetic high end. The Polk Signature S30 carried the same characteristics as the S15 over the Polk CS10 and Primus PC153.
This of course is the crutchfield app so all who have compared directly, I'm very interested!!On to new and better adventures -
Well made my purchase for the Polk TSI100 bookshelf speakers and TSI CS100 center channel speakers. Should match up with the Infinity Entra .5s and Infinity Primus P143s really good and better than the current Infinity Reference RS1s (2000.1) and Infinity CC-2 center channel. Just waiting for delivery next week.On to new and better adventures

All I can say is WOW. Man do these TSI100s sound great. Very much like the TL1s I have but just more open and spacious sounding.Post edited by MikeUp onOn to new and better adventures
