Hockey fans.....any idea what the average number of faceoff's are in a typical hockey game? This is for a contest tie-breaker answer.

    Actually, I'm thinking it is probably more than that even though I have never counted, maybe even closer to 60 or 70. There are faceoffs at the beginning of every period, after every icing, offside, two-line pass, penalty, goal, when the puck goes into the upper netting or crowd, timeout, and when the goalie holds the puck, basically everytime play stops, which is a lot.
