Hi maddog,
I'm building a new home theater and I plan to use my 17 year old SDA-1Cs for the mains. I've always been happy with them and see no need to replace them with any "modern" speaker.

Larry,
SDA's make great HT speakers. I have 1C's as my fronts and
2's as my rears and they sound fantastic.

Hi Mike,
Here's a thread you might find interesting in which Matt Polk responds to a question I had on using SDAs for home theater. There's also a great discussion by Club Polk members on the subject as well.
SDA in HT - Food for thought
