Anyone use em? I got one of their doorbells and I like it so far. Their fancy website is useless and I can't figure out if any of their cameras work without the hub.

I have the pro, used them exclusively until I upgraded to PoE.
They work good, no issues, they do need the hub. Invest in the dual battery charger and a spare set of batts. I believe you can also run a charger cord to them full time.
The user interface is a bit goofy but once you go through it a few times it's not a problem.

The guy who wrote The RaVen?So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

We have the Arlo Pro cameras. Don’t like em. They are ALWAYS glitching. Many days, one of the two cameras just won’t record. Have to reset the camera to get it to sense motion again and record. If they don’t record, what good are they? There have been times I haven’t checked the library only to find that one of them hadn’t recorded in a week or more! BIG lag with the live view/chat (if we even get it to work). I’d recommend something else like Ring or SimpliSafe.

We have a Ring doorbell cam at the front door and a Ring floodlight cam out back. Work great, no glitches at all.Post edited by ken brydson on

I have Eufy 180 (6 month battery charge on paper) and they work great. No major issues to complaint. I did installed portable solar panels to the ones installed higher in the house so no need to take them down to recharge.

I kidda thought so. I need all wireless stuff. -
@scubalab Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity? The menu isn't very user friendly, you need to search around for the settings. I had the same issue when I started with them. For anyone needing to change these settings, you have to open the menu for the hub and make a rule. Again, a goofy menu but once dialed in they seem to work well.Power Over Ethernet...
Thanks, just checked back here.

Yeah, sensitivity helps stop little things like insects from triggering recordings... when they’re working. When they stop recording, nothing helps until I remove the battery and reset the non-working camera. Doesn’t happen too often, but it’s too frequent to be acceptable. Would suck if something happened and then one or both decided to glitch. Also, the live view/chat is a joke. It usually takes 20-30 seconds just to connect to a camera, and then there’s like a 10+/- lag, so communication is painful.
For what we paid 2 years ago, they should work better. My parents got cheap ones from Amazon a year ago and they seem to work better... -
Do you have a large surface close to the camera that reflects the IR light, like a soffit?
You can also change the target field of view, almost like a crop.
