Looking for information on the Sunfire True Subwoofer EQ models.
Wondering whether the EQ functionality is significant over the standard True Subwoofer models.

Amplifier power and driver design are similar. However, the “EQ” models have an automatic eq feature with a supplied microphone. The EQ is a powerful tool, and does a lot to smooth out room response. The manual mode is painstaking and difficult however but ultimately provides better room integration. However, it’s not nearly as useful as Velodyne’s - Velodyne incorporates on-screen display and almost infinite user adjustability via remote control.

Haha, sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant to say - does anyone here have any experience with the True Sub EQ version.

I hadn't looked at the manual, but was curious as to whether the EQ version was any good. I have a True Sub Super Junior and I like it, but it's a little small for the space I'm using it in. What I like about the Sunfire subs is that they offer bass timbre.

I was considering checking out the 10 EQ, as there was one listed on the Bay in great condition with oe box and packing, but it went for more than I wanted to be in for.

I’ve never owned one, but I did help a buddy set one up some time ago. You’d be better off IMHO picking up an outboard parametric eq - you’ll have FAR greater flexibility, and probably save quite a bit of money. The eq in the Sunfire is only a 4 band graphic...:-(
