Monitor 7B's For Sale

Time to let these go. They just don't get any use with the other speakers in the house. These have had the usual upgrades: crossovers rebuilt (IIRC new cabinet wire), driver magnets glued and Dynamat added, Blackhole 5 behind the 6.5's, hurricane nuts, new binding posts etc. These have Peerless tweeters and the cabinets have been re-veneered in a heavy figured cherry. They are in pristine condition. I would like to see them stay in the Polk family, so I will only post them here for the first couple of weeks. I don't want to ship them at this point, so local pickup, or I can drive 50 miles or so to meet and drop off. Zip code - 60914, about 50 miles South of Chicago. $350.00

Here is the link to the thread I started in regards to the re-veneer of the cabinets.

And, in full disclosure I just remembered that one of the plastic pegs on one of the speakers that hold the speaker grill in place is broken. Should have located a replacement and replaced it long ago, but never did. -
That's a beautiful pair of speakers.Political Correctness'.........defined

Faustin, Beautiful! You are quite the craftsman!
I don't live close enough for pickup , but I am interested if they reach the shipping stage and costs are not prohibitive.

No, these are for a young friend. He inherited hundreds of albums from his Uncle. The 7B's will be his first two channel system. Going to loan him a turntable, set up a music server on an old PC using Daphile and my old Squeezebox Touch to get him started on the path. Set the hook, so to speak.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -
I had never heard of Daphile. Does it unfold TIDAL MQA files? The TIDAL app in Logitech Media Server doesn't have that capability.George / NJ
