Lsi9 drivers not working
I'm looking at a pair of Lsi9's locally. Dude just told me that there is only sound out of a tweeter on one of them. Do you think he blew the drivers or the X'over? I asked him what happened to cause this and I haven't heard back. I have one extra driver from a Lsi7 to use if it's the drivers.
I read that you can push on the cone to see if it makes noise then you know it's the driver?

First thing I would check are the jumpers on the back, second wiring the the crossover and speakers on the inside (I have had some speakers lose internal connection during shipping). After that I would take out the speakers and text them individually. Of course this is all if he lets you and is going to give you a discount for the labor 😂Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

Dave as a FYI Polk has no replacement LSI parts..... so be careful.....
I think @scubalab may have extra tweeters and drivers you may want to snatch up too...."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
If the drivers are not making any sound at all, it is most likely the crossover. There are instances where woofers will make no sound when they blow but even more unlikely that both would do it- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Why get messed up with a pair of 9's like that?
-
I picked up some LSI7's in mint condition for a song a few years ago. The only issue was that the crossovers were toast. Thanks to @VR3 I was able to source some stock crossovers and now they are good as new.

Gonna guess what they are being sold for.... dirt cheap ....
Like Dave, I love me a bargain!"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

Right on! If I can get them cheap enough I'll figure it out from there. -
Sometimes that's false economy. Just sayin'

Dave,
I’m not sure if I have anything left. I may have a midwoofer or two, but I’ll likely hang on to the last one or two as spares for my 9s and 7s. If I were you and you can get them cheap enough, why not! I’m sure there’s some salvageable drivers/tweeter(s) and it’s definitely nice to have spares.

I get you, sir. He's gone radio silent so it's probably moot anyways. -

Thanks, Al. Still got the 15's? -
I think you're thinking of the 15s of mine you were considering making a road trip for. I sold 'em last September.

That's right, Dave. Sorry.

That does not look good.
Since the solder pad looks to be gone is there anything under the board you can get to? -
He sent me pictures

I'd pass those were dropped it appears to me.
Or get to searching for that xo on ebay. -
He'd have to seriously come down in price for me to buy them, now.
