Pioneer HPM 100 replacement damping
I recently came into a beautiful pair of original condition HPM 100’s that need the usual updates and a good cleaning.
After removing the drivers I immediately noticed a musty odor and some mold on the insulation. I removed all the fiberglass. Cleaned the cabinets well and put two coats of poly on the insides of the cabinets. Now I need to replace the old fiberglass insulation lining. I looked on all the usual speaker sites and didn’t see anything similar to the original lining. I’m not sure where to get a proper damping material. Would blackhole damping foam be an improvement?

Thanks Pitdogg, seen it on Midwest speaker and they said it was k normally for smaller speakers and lots use the foam now. In my Polk the filling looked different than the pioneers. Also when I was pulling out the fiberglass I didn’t notice if the fiberglass was on top as well?
