Did you get the marble top for this yet?

    Any pitchurs?

This semester was brutal, especially for my wife, so it got put on the back burner. But we went this week and picked out a quartz we think we will go with! Went to a local place but the service was terrible. Went to design superstore and the price is a wee bit cheaper but the service was far superior. So I’m trying to decide which one to go with. It’s a several week wait once you order but I’ll post some pics when it gets completed!

Nice work, looks great. Like the contrast in colors.

Looks like your have the same color wood floors as our new house. We like them much better than the dark floors in our previous house as they don't show dust nearly as bad as the darker floors.

Thanks man! About to get a pic up of the matching island. We painted the cabinets and I think it looks pretty sweet…

I do like the floors and color, but with a pool, four kids and a boxer, I would have NEVER put in real hardwood. We went with a really nice vinyl laminate that looks (but doesn’t quite feel) very similar to hardwood, which is much better for out situation…

    Very nice! Love DIY.

    I've had a have a Kreg Pocket-Hole jig for 15 plus? years.

I built a two story album rack where the top can be removed from bottom for easier relocation. HD casters in base to move it around. I also built a custom wet bar in our family room. I used a shallow tongue and groove joint to assemble along with the Pocket-Hole jig. Very secure assembly.

Well, not a whole lot of DIY here, but we finally finished the kitchen remodel after almost two years. Had the quartz installed and painted the cabinets. I also installed the faucet and disposal.

In all we added the bar (blank space before), the fridge surround, new sinks and faucets, refinished the backsplash, and new shaker cabinet doors and new hardware. Pretty happy with it overall!

Nice! Wish I knew how to make a groove joint. My spouse bought me a class at the local Mennonite community (amazing woodworkers!), and hopefully that is something I will learn to do!

Thx Ron! It didn’t add a lot money wise to the project (we also remodeled two bathrooms, installed the built ins for the TV and new floors upstairs), but I think it made a big difference.
