Has anyone purchased these? The war ones from the 40's looked really good, but i'm curious to see if anyone bought one of those tins of old Disney cartoons. I really loved a lot of those older Disney cartoons, but have never seen the Donald Duck ones, ect from the 40s.

I saw this on dvd at one of those preview events they put on in my town and it was pretty good if you like the old disney cartoons, the pictures a bit inconsistent between each cartoon (but what do you expect from 30/40's cartoons?), apart from that I was impressed considering the exceptionally old source for the dvd (don't know about audio particularly as I was watching it in a large room with a pretty average sound system). Personally I wasn't particularly into disney things though so it was all a bit lost on me, I liked dumbo because it was exceptionally surreal, that apart I just find it a little... icky :)

I have a lot of the Disney cartoon collections in those tins. Out of the last batch of 4 I purchased 3 of them: Mickey Mouse Volume 2, Donald Duck Volume 1 and On The Front Lines (the war cartoons). I am very happy with the quality and selection of the cartoons that goes into each of these Disney collections, but as a cartoon collector (I have been collecting cartoons since the early 1980's) of course I want more.
