whoa -- that's an old one! One doesn't see many TEACs with mechanical controls (as opposed to solenoid operated controls)! I don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh, in fact.
You'll enjoy this website, methinks. I do, at any rate.

An olde tyme two-prong extension cord will work for those old TEAC AC power connections. BTDT.
I can 'check stock' and see if I have a surplus-to-me one that fits. I might...
Oh -- in early times, TEAC tape decks were sold in the US under the (American) Concertone brand
Here's an example, from 1962 (?!)

I bought a power cord off the bay. Hope it works!

Is it like a boombox power cord?
Nice looking Teac! Congrats.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's. -
Congrats! I had to buy one of those two-prong cords myself for a couple of R2R from my dad's stuff. The cord is an IEC C9, but I haven't tried to fit it yet."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

It didn't look like the slots were gonna be big enough on the IEC C9's
but that probably is it...Speakers: Polk Lsim, ATC SCM19 v2, NHT SuperzeroSpeaker Cables: DH Labs, Transparent, Wireworld, Canare, Monster: Beer budget, Bose ears -
No, it's bigger than a boombox figure 8-style cord -- it is just like a two-prong mains plug, but female rather than male.
heh... should be similar (I think identical!) to this HOSA ("take off, eh?")

Yes it likes Lucky Strikes and Camel non-filtered... -
oh, I got the Power chord in the mail finally.
It fired up o.k. Ordered the capstan belt (right one hopefully)
and started cleaning her up. Everything is moving nicely.
I'm in wait mode as the belt has been at the Cleveland hub for 2-3 days.

Wow there weren’t too many reel to reel decks that played or recorded at cassette tape speeds (17/8IPS)
Notice how each speed is exactly double the other one and how the frequency response improved with each doubling of the speed. This is why the pro’s used the next two faster speeds which were 15 and 30IPS. -

Yeah, actually the entry-level consumer single motor decks were often 3-speed: 1-7/8, 3-3/4, and 7-1/2 ips.
Here's one, for example, from the collection.

The better consumer decks and "prosumer" (including most of the TEACs) decks were typically two-speed (3-3/4 and 7-1/2 ips), though.
Here's one of those, e.g.

I saw a FEW decks which were capable of 3-3/4, 7-1/2 and 15IPS at the HiFi/repair shop I used to work at at the turn of the century. They used to come in and get refurbished.

They keep sending me this e-mail almost daily.

Actually, I am more optimistic than one might expect. The USPS promised delivery of @Clipdat's karma'd (karmic?) Topping DAC today -- and, today, it came.
Kinda makes ya wonder why I am sitting here staring at a computer, doesn't it?
We'll hope for the best for you and your belt(s)!

rackin' sackin' rebal rousing
The belt arrived but it keeps walking off the rollers
and it is a royal PAIN to get things back together after the belt
is situated.
I think I'll walk away from this for a while.
