Receiver & subwoofer to go with S55, S30 and S15
I am a new to home theater setup and I just bought S55 pair, S30 and S15. I would like to buy a decent receiver to power these speakers and a sub to go with it. My budget for receiver is less than 600, and the sub I don't know how much it would cost for decent one so I'll take any suggestion below 1000. After browsing through this forum, some folks also recommended Marantz slim lines but I don't know if slim line's 50W per channel is enough for the S55, I know sub would need another amp using preout lines. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!!!

Welcome SJO. Good recommendation above from rooftop. It even has preouts in case you'd like to add an amp later. It also has two subwoofer outputs in case you'd like to use two.
The sub won't need another amp, as most subs you'll find these days are powered, so they'll have their own amp built in.
There's a current promo running with SVS you could jump on for the SB-2000 12" sealed subwoofer for $500. SVS is sold out of them, but they're saying to pick them up from their partners while inventory lasts - Amazon and Crutchfield. Wouldn't wait too long on this. They normally go for $700.

Or there's the ported version, the PB-2000, for $600

I like SVS, great value and good HT subs, but this is still the best value for the money, and has more flexibility to tune to your room and preferences:

The Denon or Yamaha are good.
For sub there is also the question of how much room. Increase the budget a bit and go dual subs
The SVS are going for a great price right now and HSU are very good subs, just ask my neighbors. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

So, I got YAMAHA RX-V683 7.2-Ch x 90 watts recevier from A4L, with polk S55, S30 & S15 for surrounds and polk sub for now, I'm also adding two 8" polk ceiling speaker. What kind of power conditioner should I buy to protect these. I will also have nvidia shield and ps3, what kind of cabinet or rack do you guys suggest for this setup.
