Why I will probably be a Polkie for life

One of the reasons is this very message board. You can come here and get the advice and opinions of people who own the speakers that you do. Not only that but the people who are part of the company participate and answer your questions. The speakers are affordable and yet they kick much ****. I only have the Polk CS400i but it is awesome. The speakers price/performance ratio is very high. They also look good. :D I think I have found my speaker brand for many years to come. I am loyal to brands that I find to be worthy of me spending money on. The website, community, and quality of the Polk brand is what garners my loyalty. Very soon the old Eosones are going in place of RT800i's or even the RT55i's. I know they will be worth every penny spent. Keep up the good work Polk! As soon as I get the money hellooooooo LSi line!

It all started with a pair of rti800's.
    Then the cs400, fx500's, rti1000's, 2)450subs, cs1000, and lastly a pair of rti25's.
It's safe to say I'm polkafied.

Yeah, they know what they're doing. My wife thinks it's a conspiracy...

This forum has seemingly turned me into a speaker (and audio equipment, in general) buying nut!

It all started with a good, close-out deal on some little RT3's....

Glad I'm not the only one!

After many years of mediocre audio equipment, I am once again enjoying listening to some tunes or watching a movie. You can't beat these speakers! RT800I's, CS245I, PSW350, and soon,,,some 300I surrounds!! :D

i've been considering it. i think a pair of the 35i's would make for a good 2-channel set-up for dedicated music. of course i don't have the component's for this (yet), other than my 'b' speaker output on the reciever, but discounted polk's, i mean c'mon, how can you pass them up???:D

what are you planning on using yours for, or just buying to buy?:D

I am completely broke right now, or I'd have to pick up a pair of RT35i's myself...

That's an intimidating setup you got there. Where's the TV? It gets lost between those big monsters.

Unfortunately, space and $$$$ restraints are putting any WS RPTV purchases on hold. Damn, college is so expensive!

Yeah, even that 36" Toshiba gets kinda lost in between those massive SRS 2.3's. Still, I really like that Toshiba TV. They make some killer sets.

Ok, time to finish up the pics to send off to Justin for the system showcase. ;)

GRRRREAT customer service !!!!!! and great speakers too !!!!!

I'd be a polkie for life because of replacement parts.
The reason I'll probably not be a polkie for life is that I don't view Polk as true audiophile speakers. I've heard better sounds coming from Thiels. I really like Polk. But, lets face it, there are better sounding (more accurate) speakers out there. When the time that I can/choose to afford better, its gonna be me reaching for the best that I could afford. At one time, that was Polk Audio SRS. Soon, it is going to be Thiel. Perhaps, if there was an LSI dealer in Indy, it would be different. But, I don't expect Polk to cross the vast divide in one speaker model introduction. I'll give em a listen thought (the LSI's). Doubt it will change my mind.

I dig them cuz I love the look and feel of their speakers and the support is quite nice. I spent a long time looking for Computer Speakers once my computer was away from my stereo (only advantage dorms ever had) and then they released the new computer speakers and gave us club polk members a deal!

If you want to see sick, I should post a pick of my Living Room... the Polk RT25i's are dwarfed by the 57" 16:9 Sony XBR set, and then there is a LITTLE SVS sub in the corner... but the Polks hold their own weight!

I'm still single my man! When I get married, the marriage vows will include:

To honor, cherish, in sickness and in health AND UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF CURRENT AND FUTURE AUDIO/VIDEO COMPONENTS!

    Hope that covers it.

I didn't think I was ever going to see another pair of SRS's in walnut. Don't worry, there are a few good women out there. My wife WON'T let me get rid of my 1.2 TL's. Of course, I never question her superior intellect.
Nice speakers, I presume you modified them to allow such close proximity to the TV. I couldn't get mine anywhere near that close.

I sure did modify them. I added the shielding magnets on the back of all the drivers. Works like a charm. They are some beautiful speakers, although I do believe they are oak.

Yeah, there are plenty of GOOD women out there. Some are GOOD for one thing and some are GOOD for another. It's finding that balance thats a rare thing.

Oh well, i'm in no rush!
