I guess WB has come to the realization that theaters won't be opening anytime soon. They've decided to release WW 1984 in theaters (in countries where they are open) AND on HBOMAX starting on December 25th. They actually learned via Disney's huge mistake to not upcharge for the movie, instead making it available as part of the regular monthly subscription of $14.95. Disney decided to release Mulan on Disney + and charge subscribers an additional $20 to watch it. Yeah that didn't go over well at all.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of new subscriber revenue it'll pull in for HBOMAX and how many views the movie will get. I'll be joining to watch it, then most likely keep it. The Snyder Cut of Justice League is coming there as well in 2021.

FYI...WW 1984 was horrible! Wait for it to stream for free somewhere. I loved the first one, but this one missed the mark on so many levels.No excuses!
