Say you are putting together a "building-wide" audio system with all speakers playing the same thing. However, it is a decent size place and it wouldn't make sense to try and get one amp to feed everything in the building. What one can do is "daisy chain" the amps together, i.e. in this case take RCA-level signal/wire from amp to amp to amp, etc. through the structure rather than having to split the output from the source/pre-amp five ways.
Does that make sense?

More than likely this refers to "Jukebox" CD/DVD players. This is a mentod where you can hook up more than one player together and control them all from one unit...be it a single disc player or a changer or one of the jukeboxes."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

its also a a term used in concert taping, in a soundboard feed, the first recording deck gets the board signal, and then a line out from deck 1 to deck 2 etc. same idea
