Polk Forum page says I need to update Java Script to comment or like.

The page layout is totally different too.

Anybody else having this layout change problem?

I'm surprised the forum let me post this question since I can't like another's post.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Which browser? Sounds like scripts are disabled. You need that for the content to work properly and to be able to click the reactions.

Have you recently installed a new security software or changed browsers?

    I don't think I've changed a thing here.

    Thanks for replies.

I'm not a "puter" tech and trying to diagnose something makes my nerves tense up BAD since it's so weird trying to get a CLEAR and SIMPLE answer from the help section on this PC.

I tried to get to Java Script for an hour yesterday. An hour the day before and hour the day before that. But, yesterday I got to Java Script in the settings and the link said it is on. ???

So I'll just have to dig deeper into another path and maybe FIND what's wrong...

  • Tony I don't know what browser you are on but maybe an automatic update went through that messed something up. Can you try a different browser?

Yes I can...thanks to Drew. Fire Fox.

    I switch to it now.

Nope...My FireFox search link doesn't come up...but I have an account but a page comes up and want's me to PAY something. I can't get around it...(Nerves are getting TIGHT again now!).

I'm going to take a break from this challenge. I think I have to download Java Script. I've seen all kinds of programs but in the MAIN list/s that are alphabetized, There is NO Java Script. I don't know how I got to some level where it showed Java Script as an app. It def. wasn't on the MAIN list of programs. I'm going to down load Java Script some time later. Not now, I'm too P-Oed with this Puter now.

    Thanks again for the help.

Well maybe your browser is Microsoft Edge then.

I think we need to really know what computer you have, and what browser(s) you have.

For example, I actually have 4 browsers on my computer:

Google Chrome (this is the one I have been going onto Polk forum with, no probs.)
    Firefox Version 81.0.2 (64 bit)
Microsoft Edge Version 86.0.622.58, 64 bit
    Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 11.572.19041.0

You definitely don't need Java for anything these days, so it's actually good that you don't have it installed.

It sounds like one or more of your browsers has been hijacked with unwanted add-ons/extensions. I would recommend completely uninstalling Firefox and then reinstalling both FireFox and Chrome. from these links:

    https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/download/thanks/

    https://www.google.com/chrome/

I'd also take a close look at what add-ons you have enabled in Edge. Also consider discontinuing your use of the Edge browser entirely. It's not really good for anything.

Take a look at what extensions are being loaded and see if you see anything that looks blatantly spammy or malicious.

I looked at my extensions and it only had spell check. It's been there for years so nothing new.

But after downloading Fire Fox again, it downloaded this time without that Page wanting a $$$ subscription for some upgrade before I could continue.

This time, Downloading or installation took all of 2 minutes and I clicked Club Polk icon...
    :):):)

My page is back to normal and I can click icons and comment again.
    THANK YOU DREW! B)

    Now to install Google Chrome...
