In ceiling to match vintage?

I am in a position to buy the house we have been renting.

If you were running Monitor 7 series II with a CS 400i what in ceiling speakers would you choose to fill out a 5.1 system? What what it is worth the sub is a.PSW 125.

Others here disagree but I don't think timber matching is all that important for surrounds (unless you are a big gamer or listen to a lot of SACD/Blu ray audio in surround). Much more important that you get something with good dispersion solid midbass/upper bass. In other words, get the biggest, best one's you can afford. Def tech makes some great in ceiling. If you stick with Polk, these are a great deal: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/polk-audio-6-5-2-way-in-ceiling-speaker-each-white/4669018.p?skuId=4669018&ref=212&loc=1&ref=212&loc=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwit_8BRCoARIsAIx3Rj4BHeai2_KPGKmFK1LNQdAdq3kdpFK6J4k35x1q5txP3yAoixEOkE8aAmu2EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I’m using (4) RC60i’s for my Atmos in-ceiling channels. Surrounds are Monitor 5A's and SDA SRS2's for L/R. I have plans to convert a RTA11TL into a center channel - right now using an old RBH which sounds good to me... I'm with @rooftop59 - after some dialing levels in on the AVR, I don’t believe that exact timbre matching is that critical for Atmos channels. The overheads, while they do receive the same “quality” signal when Atmos objects move through space and the overhead channels, IMO they’re still just effects and if calibrated correctly, (I’m using Audessy/Marantz AVR) the RC60’s sound great and blend well. Fun stuff. Good luck!
    Current Collection: Monitor 4a (Peerless), Monitor 5B (Peerless), Modified Monitor 7b (Peerless), RTA15TL (SL3000), SDA CRS+ (194’s), SDA SRS 2.3TL, R100's, R200’s, R300 🤩
    Pairs that have passed through: Monitor 4b (Peerless), Monitor 5a (Peerless), Monitor 5b (SL1000), Monitor 5b (SL2000) (4x pair), Monitor 7b (Peerless), Modified Monitor 7c’s (194’s), Monitor 10a (Peerless), Monitor 10b (5x pair), RTA8, RTA8TL, RTA 11T, RTA12c (194's), SDA CRS, SDA 2 (2x pair), SDA 2a, SDA 2b, SDA 1b, SDA 1c, SDA SRS 2 (2x pair), SDA SRS 3.1TL (198’s) (2x pair)...and more to come, it’s a sickness.
