New RTi line or old RT line?

I want to get a nice pair of Polk speakers to match my CS400i channel. Now will the new line match my current center channel? Also, are the tweeters in the new LSI line also used in the RTi line as well?

Allen-
New Polks will not match as well as the current line.
Different impedence, tweeters,cabinets, effiency.
Get a set of RTi, 800's or 1000's.
Prices are very good right now.

the LSi's use a ring radiator tweeter, totally different than what is used in both the RTi line and new up and coming RT line....
i agree, now is the time to buy to get the best match for your center... -
trubluluc & juice21,
So what you're saying is that I should probably upgrade my 245i now with the 400i while I can still get one instead of waiting for the new CSi40 to come out? I have RT7's in the front. -
Why upgrade? Are you not happy with the cs245?
A. Keep the great speaker you have
B. Get a good deal on a discountinued model
C. Get the latest and greatest, and follow suit with the rest of your system over time.....
No choice is a bad one.
CC has a liberal return policy, go get a 400, take it home and demo it, if its worth the price, by all means. If not, take the sucka back....

Gary,
I would do as Russ suggested. To be honest, with the 7's, I could go either way to be honest. I am not sorry I got the 400 but would have been content with the 245.

As already mentioned, I'd go for the CS400i center now instead of waiting. You'd probably be able to hear the difference between RT/LSi, especially on the center.

Why are you people saying that they won't match. He is not talking about buying LSi speakers to match RTi but rather buying new RTi center to match 2001 model fronts.
I thought they where a very close match? -
Allen was looking for speakers to match his cs400
(which he already had).
GZ-
If you are happy with your rt7's, and don't plan
on upgrading the entire front end, (mains/center)
then I think you already have a decent combo with the cs245.
The 7's have different drivers than the cs400, and
less efficiency. So the match would still not be perfect.
If you are planning on upgrading,
I have seen the cs400 (open box) for 249.
The rt800i's and rt1000i's are similarly very discounted right now.
You of course can wait. The new stuff is coming
but it will cost more...quite a bit more.
