So.... how did they sound out there? Was there enough bass?
  • Got lots of compliments from our guests. I was surprised how much bass there was.

Have you out them inside and listened to them??? Impressions?

I have, they are quite nice. Especially acoustic stuff. Wood Brothers, Chet, Mark Knopler etc. I’m thinking they are lacking in the low end. However it could be something else in my setup. I’m playing them through an Adcom 5503 using the pre out from my Denon home theater receiver.

I’m not convinced I have the receiver set up correctly for pure 2ch listening. Movies however are fantastic.

These speakers have a great tonal balance with very good imaging and bass response. They do not lack in the low end.
Be sure you have them hooked up correctly. Also these are specific left & right speakers; swap them laterally to see what effect that has.

Check your speaker settings on the Demon. The fronts may not be receiving a full range signal. They should not be lacking in the bass department.

What model Denon? You may have the speaker set to "small". I should be able to walk you through the menu based on memory of my past Denon HTRs. If you need help.

It doesn't take a lot of power to have a quick fun car when it's that light. Cool stuff 👍

When I was growing up, my father had a 69 Datsun Roadster 2000. Head and valves worked, cam, dual side draft SU carbs, header , not sure what else he did to it. But what a fun car. We had a blast in that thing.

    General pic. Not his car.

  • SL2000’s are way cool. I used to AutoX a Volvo 242 and 142 in the Central FL region. There were two brothers Harvey (no relation to me) that ran one in two different classes with a change of tires. It was fast.

My old 2005 S60R. Inline 5cyl turbo awd, 6 speed manual with a Evolve tune @ 340 hp was so fun to drive.

This was a little 0 to 90 or 100 mph. sprint video.

I like oddball cars. Only about 5000 of these still on the road. It's not fast but you don't see many '88 model cars with a touch screen in the center of the dash that control the radio, AC and trip computer. Also has onboard diagnostics built into the touch screen. Way ahead of it's time.
