Auto mounting depth, Polk and competitors

The only speaker brand that I see that has nearly as low as a mounting depth as low as the Polk db series are Kicker speakers. What does everyone else think?

K, also JBL Club speakers.

    I think the marine certification, because the speakers are supposed to be usable by boats, is part of what forced the Polk Audio sound onto Polk speakers. Do these other speakers sound as good as Polk car audio?

    The Kicker DSC series has the same mounting depth as the Polk db series. The Kicker CSC series has a mounting depth 1/16" bigger.
