Selling "brand new" Polk LSi15s and LSiC with Cherry finish

I have a set of Polk LSi15s in cherry finish with the Polk LSiC center channel speaker. I have used them maybe 20 hours total, and that's stretching it far. I bought them brand new directly from Polk through their accomodations and still have the original invoice for warranty purposes. Had them shipped to our new townhouse and upon arrival new neighbors moved in...with TWO young children. Being the nice guy I am I never played them loud and rarely played them at all due to me being very respectful.

The reason I'm selling these is because we're getting ready to move and the new house we're buying I'm putting a dedicated theatre in the basement. I'm going with in-walls so I have no use for the LSis.

They are in 110% BRAND NEW CONDITION without a smudge on them. My fiancee knew not to come within 3 feet of them or she would get an ear full from me ;) I have all the original boxes and packaging materials. Like I said before, I probably haven't played them above 80-85 db and no where near 20 hours of usage on them.

What I'm looking for are price estimates of what you guys think they're worth and even taking offers on them. I live in Columbus, OH and have no problem driving them up to 100 miles no charge for delivery. If you live 200 miles we could meet in the middle etc.. If you'd like them shipped you will have to pay exact shipping charges.

I have very good feedback on EBay and Paypal so if you'd like to purchase them with some confidence you'll receive them I could throw up a quick auction with a BUY IT NOW, call you on the phone and tell you when it's posted so you could buy it off there. Then you'd have something to fall back on if I were to cheat you, which I never would. I was going to post them on Ebay but thought I'd let you guys have first cracks at them because you're a good group of people.

Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to read this. If you have ANY questions, please feel free to PM me or email me at Mazeroth8@yahoo.com. We can even arrange to talk over the phone if you'd like.

Thanks!

-Christian

Decided to take a few pics of them. If there looks to be ANY type of smudge or anything other than a perfect looking speaker than it's a bad pic. They are FLAWLESS :) I took the speaker covers off so you could see the condition of the drivers and speakers better. The covers are in 110% shape just like the speakers.

Price??? Man, that would be hard, but if I were you I'd try to get at least 75% of MSRP if they only have 20 hrs on them.

But one of the unwritten rules here is for you to name your price.

Great pictures, Christian. The LSis have never looked better to me than yours, and I own a mint condition pair myself!

For Club Polk brothers, a lateral sell sounds like a good starting point to me. What did you pay for them?

Bah, I still can't locate the invoice from Polk for these speakers. It has to be in my house somwhere! :)

As far as what I paid I think it was in the neighborhood of $1200 with shipping. I've had 2 people PM me interested in just purchasing the LSiC so I'm not sure if I should sell the speakers separately (keep the 15s together, of course) or keep this packaged. I'm all ears, guys!

I already sent you an email and you never responded. I might be interested in the set of three. We live within driving distance and I've got a pick-up. Check your email or send me a PM.

Yeah, I sent you an email, too, about the center speaker. But if Spec wants to buy all of them, then I say sell to him. Good luck :)

    Has anyone heard from Chris?

I sent him an email asking for a price for the set of three and haven't heard back from him yet.

Then I saw there was some other interest (above) in splitting up the set (15's or center only).

So to avoid misunderstanding and stepping on toes, I sent him another email asking him to post the heirarchy of offers (full set offers considered first, and split-up offers considered thereafter, etc.), and explain his rationale for same.

Has anyone actually purchased and/or sent money? I haven't simply because I haven't received a firm asking price yet for the set of three.

Does anyone have a firm asking price for the set or for individual pieces?

I don't check my email for 24 hours and you guys are ready to send out a search party for me LoL!

So far I've had a few offers on the set and they've been pretty pathetic, pretty much a slap in my face. One guy offered me $700 for all three, yes, ALL THREE. I was actually polite on my reply to him which I now regret.

I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200 for these speakers and that's what it's going to take to get them. I had to suffer with an $8/hour job for 5 years to be able to purchase them at that price so I think it's fair if I sell them for what I paid for them.

Sorry if I caused any inconvenience to anyone but life's been a tad hectic in the Bartholomew household :)

No prob, Chris. Just wondering where you were and what the status was; it's cool. Normally if you've got something expensive and desireable like LSi listed in the Flea Market, you'd probably want to check email, PM, and the boards at least 4X/day. I agree, $700 is an insult.

I'm out on this one, guys. Chris, feel free to consider other offers in the order in which they were received, and/or split up the set. Thanks.

Did some thinking and this is how I'm going to sell the speakers. Probably a first on Club Polk but we'll see how it goes...

I want $1200 for the speakers. You can split the 15s and C up...BUT...I will not sell them until I get 2 bids that add up to $1200. Say someone bids $800 for the 15s...I will wait until someone will take the LSiC for $400. Maybe the next guy will pay $825 for the LSi15s, then someone could claim the LSiC for $375 etc. I WILL sell the PAIR at $1175 to one bidder, but that's the lowest I will go. I just want to get my money back out of them, and I gaurantee you won't be able to find these speakers for the price I'm asking in the condition they're in.

As I mentioned before these are in 100% MINT condition with a guaranteed usage time of under 20 hours. I will drive up to 100 miles to meet you or deliver them to you at no charge. I live in Columbus, OH with 43026 zip code.

    Thanks!

They're big, that's why I was offering a local pickup and my driving of up to 100 miles. They weigh 55 pounds each and the center is 25 if I'm not mistaken. I'd guesstimate it would run in the neighborhood of $120 - $150 for shipping. Anyone else want to chime in? Thanks:)

I thought you couldn't sell speakers you bought from polk acc. for atleast 1 year. Also I can tell you that if you bought them from polk acc., you had to have paid less than $1200 for all 3.

You have to work for a Polk dealer, usually for a set limit of time before you can purchase the speakers through their accomodations.
