Up until 1985 the 427 SC/Cobra was the fastest ICE powered vehicle from 0-60 to 0. That was until the 1985 Yamaha VMAX made its debut. Cycle World did the shootout besting the SC Cobra with the VMAX. I was in the motorcycle biz then and we had twenty copies of this issue
placed around the store and showroom as a marketing tool.

The SC Cobra was a 3.6 second car from 0-60. Pretty amazing for a 20 year old car at the time.

The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

It is imperative that we recognize that an opinion is not a fact.

Remember that well. I have 2 that are not in riding condition now. I had my 1986 engine built in New York at PWC Racing. Bad boy then, wouldn’t let anyone else ride it after that.

Way too old to worry about going fast any more.

But, a friend has that Tesla car. It SEEMS faster than to me, by a lot, compared to any car I have ever been in.

Due to old age, forget which exact model he has........Model "S", but not sure which variant?

Loads of instant torque pushes you into your seat hard immediately. There's no build up it's just all there right away.
