Here's a thing. If they are too long, send them in and make two sets of .75 m IC's. Much cheaper than buying two sets and if you have Audioquest do it they warrantee both sets like new.

I googled it and it makes some sense. My first digital coax is 1 meter and made by MIT. I’m guessing that this wasn’t known at the time.

There's good articles out there, I don't want to foul up Joes thread. @Speedskater is out there. He has not been here in awhile, he and I used to talk cable builds often I found him very knowledgeable. He may of been an electrician I'm not sure but he seem very keen on stuff.

Probably has to do with them serving as antennae for picking up noise signals and that is length dependent. Good shielding should eliminate that as an issue. Just my opinion.George / NJ

I was trying not to fall into the trap of parroting something someone else has said regarding a theory of reflections of a signal and jitter. May or may not be true. I think people read something on the internet and parrot them. Happens all the time. I can't say for sure if that is the case here. What about the fact that most of us are regenerating the digital signal anyway through various devices like the Uptone Audio REGEN. What effect would that have? I know that my 0.5m USB iFi Mercury cable seems unbeatable so far and I have compared it to several different ones that happened to be longer as well.
