68 yrs young today

Big day planned, going to try to walk a total of 10 miles today (I just started walking daily in June) and then spaghetti for dinner. Probably some nice Cabernet. Does anyone my age actually celebrate anymore? os8a6pkdyzml.jpg

Happy Happy!! I hike when I can but knee and other joints are not too happy about it these days. Do you get out into the "wilderness" at all? I was an avid backpacker and really miss it.

Birthdays are a reason to celebrate and is most other days :)

Happy birthday Jimbo! You gonna wash down them noodles with some IPA's? :D

Oh, I see that you've already decided on the red wine. Well that'll be just as good.

    Happy Birthday Jim.

You look darn good for your age! Keep shaving. ;) It helps us look younger. :D

I feel "white hairs" are close to God or vise versa. o:)

I don't celebrate too much. Definitely a steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse is the usual.

I heard walking is a definite life extender. Keep at it. ;)
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
  • Happy Birthday Jim! I'm right at your heels at 67. And yes, I celebrate...the fact that I'm still among the Living :D

I was walking an average of 5 miles a day, until a knee said NO more.

Three weeks after a partial knee replacement, I'm hitting 4 miles a day and gaining :)

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Thanks for all the wishes guys. What a great group of people on here. Not going to do this very often, and it took three trips, including walking our dog (no, that's not a euphemism for anything) but I made it. Even at this age, it's not the muscles, it's the joints that complain. uyguou2om8az.png

Hope you had a great day. Impressive mileage you put in today. I’m almost 20 years younger than you and probably don’t walk 10 miles in a week...or two.
