SL2500 Tweeter Pair

Pair of SL2500s out of Monitor 10 Series 2 that got RDO198s.

Both work great. 5.4 and 5.6 ohm DCR. One of them had a broken lead, I fixed it and gave it fresh ferrofluid.

$50 shipped ($50 to me after fees).

  • Nice! I didn't know they had ferrofluid. Do Peerless tweeters have it too?

Aside- is there a way to zero out the Ohms with these digital meters.....some adj. pot inside?

I honestly don't know, I've never had any apart. (Well, I was curious so I searched, looks like they do https://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/152977/retrofitting-monitor-7bs-with-peerless-tweeters) But not all Polk tweeters use ferrofluid, the SL2000 doesn't. I just don't know about the others.

On the multimeter, no idea ... internal resistance changes from one set of leads to another. Those ones of mine are especially high for some reason.

Do the magnet bolt holes match SL2000's?

That I don't know. I JUST had a pair of SL2000s here that I re-centered, too late now. I can measure.

The 2500' s are the only ones I've never owned. Was just curious if they were 39 or 41mm on square.
