LS90s on Audiogon. Aren't these the speakers that everyone raved about at TPG2?
No affiliation. These seem to be hard to find. I remember some members looking out for them.

Yes, Walter (wallstreet) brought them over for TPG2.
Dorokoshot and Al Borland couldn't even bust em', and they sure as hell tried.
Cheers,

There are several pairs floating around on eBay & Audiogon some less expensive than these. This guy happens to live the next town over from me, but as yet has not responded to email ... maybe they're at the shore for the weekend.

and now ... they're mine ... heh heh heh ...
They're in perfect shape and he had the original manual, but unfortunately they came with no original boxes or packing materials.
The good news is he was very flexible on price and I got to see and hear them in person as he's less than 10 miles away and they easily weathered the 20 minute trip home. -
Congrats PW. We want pics and a little smiggin of a review when you are ready dude.
If my memory serves me correctly (from reading), these were the second favorite speakers at Russ' place after his SDA SRS2s.
Don't be the first to bust them!

No bustin goin on ... had a pair of CRS+'s show up today as well so it'll be a busy weekend ... As far as what they look like, they're black so they pretty much look exactly like the pair in the post farther up.
Upon first listening on his equipment which was a decent array of separates consisting of Aragon, Bryston etc. I found them to be very articulate in the midrange and upper frequencies while also having a fair amount of bass. Nothing like what some of the larger Polks old or new are capable of but still very respectible & very clean.
I wasn't sure on the ride over I was gonna get 'em until I heard 'em ... now all I need is another two channel setup to listen to them regularly. -
when was it made?

I believe they are from the mid '90's.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

Very nice speakers! Congratulations on your purchase.
At TPG2, on Russman's cd8b/Radii tube mini-pre/TFM-45 setup, I thought the LS90's sounded great and did everything well. I like the design, too. Definitely my second favorite, after the SRS2's.
CRS+: another very fine-sounding speaker I got the opportunity to listen to for the first time at TPG2.

Well after initial investigation the CRS+'s are gonna need some work ... left tweet ain't makin it although it appears fine and something ?! appears to be loose inside on both ... time for the screwdriver ...
-
Magnet had come loose from the tweet and now seems to be working okay, but I think I'll pick up a spare or two from MadMax.
The internal noise was a result of both crossover boards coming loose from the large cabinet mounted coils behind.
UPS must have played soccer with the boxes between Flaw-Duh and here ...
But all is well now, Polk Vintage Lives and sounds very good indeed. -

That's why I bought em. You can't. At least without earplugs on. Which is my first test when auditioning speakers. Can these play as loud as I would ever want without distortion? I used to have a Denon AVR2500 hooked up and was happy until a friend hooked up a yammy flagship. Opened up a whole new dimension to these speakers. Immediately drove the purchase of the B&K. Al's Sunfire sure did sound sweet though. -
Speaking of Al...
Not to go off topic -- where is tour?- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
