I am running a Yamaha RX-A2030 and I think I want an AVR has wifi and runs 9 channels (I don't think this one will run 9 at once). Maybe there's no good reason to think I need something different but my mind has failed so how would I know?

Yes and I had height speakers hooked up at the old place. But I think it was heights or rears not both. -

This is what happens when you try to retire.
You gave it your best shot. Move back.I disabled signatures. -

You don't shake off 50 years of BS in a few months but still glad to be done with Cali. -

I have a Denon AVR-X4400H does real nice on my SACD playing as does my bedroom Marantz. Wifi is good on both. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

That Yamaha he owns is a BEAST and sounds excellent (if the rx-a1010 I owned is any indication) and it’s a 9.2 machine. But is does NOT do Dolby atmos if that matters...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

Yes my denon avr-x4200w does atmos and can expand to 9.2 with a 2 channel amp. Best sounding receiver overall I have ever owned, better than the Yamaha rx-a1010 or Marantz sr-5007, but also a step up from both of those...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
