Firday night before Greg got here I was de-toddlerizing the HT room and discovered the remote was not working. I popped the batteries and noticed there was no contacts and a leaking battery must have ate the leads away. Greg also noticed dry battery acid but the crazy this is that I never noticed any gue prior to that. I was bumbed because you can't do DTS on the Denon without the remote and if you can I'm clueless.
anywho I found an old remote and tore it apart. I desoldered all the old parts from it and intalled them in the Denon making all appropriate solder joints. I burned the board a little but no big deal.
WALLA my remote works again. For how long who could tell.

BTW who is watching the race?
