Triangle Genese Trio vs Polk LSiM 703s

I purchased a pair of Triangle Genese Trio bookshelf speakers to replace my Polk LSiM 703s. I found the treble from the Trios is much more clear and articulate. The midrange of the Trios is very good but I am not sure if it is better than the Polks. The bass from the Polk 703s is better IMO, definitely deeper. I added a Rel T/7i sub to make the Trios full range speakers. I am happy with my purchase.

Triangle makes good stuff for the money. Not all that easy to find in the US market though.

Clipdat, I thought both speakers had an easy, laid back sound. The midrange for both speakers seems very similar in sound. The bass for the Trios seems thin compared to the Polk 703s but the 703s are supposed to sound a little fat in the bass.

    We like fat "bases" here.
